The two year old referendum where the majority of voting citizens within the United Kingdom expressed their desire to leave the European Union will be coming to finality on March 29, 2019. Events surrounding the date of exit are still in an extremely dynamic state and as the time approaches, last minute agreements and decisions will dominate the 24 hour news cycle. Global markets will become more embroiled with the ebb and flow of these negotiations adding volatile markets and systemic risks.
This presentation will bring everyone up to date on the global stage of financial drama, providing a front row view of these historical events. Knowledge is power, and knowing the latest issues and decisions will enable the participants to better manage the financial risks that are quickly approaching.
Don joined the Associated Bank team in 2008 with ore than 30 years of banking experience. In his current position, he oversees foreign exchange, interest rate hedging, commodity derivative hedging, along with the sales strategy of trade services for commercial clients.
Don earned his BBA in Banking and Finance at the University of Mississippi and his MBA at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. He is ACI-certified, and holds membership in the US Regional Bank Forex. He formerly held the position of President of Forex USA (Financial Markets Association-U.S.A.) ACI (Association Cambiste Internationale), and a former member of the Federal Reserve Foreign Exchange Committee. He has also served on the Committee for Professionalism for the Financial Markets Association of Canada.
A man whose love and talent for teaching becomes apparent in even a brief conversation, Don serves as an Adjunct Professor at Aurora University in Illinois, teaching Concepts of Finance, Investments and The Financial Markets.
