COMPETING IN A GLOBAL ECONOMY - FOXCONN, THE MILWAUKEE 7 & ECONOMIC PROSPERITY
Pat O'Brien, Executive Director, Milwaukee 7
With 13,000 jobs and a capital investment of $10 billion, Foxconn’s investment in southeastern Wisconsin is by far the state’s largest economic development project and is the largest corporate attraction project in U.S. history as measured by jobs. Attracting this project would not have happened without the efficient and effective collaboration led by Gov. Walker, in partnership with the Milwaukee 7 and a number of other supporters. Pat O’Brien, the Executive Director of the Milwaukee 7, will discuss the purpose and activities of the consortium, including an overview of the Foxconn project, and the regional economic issues we face in southeastern Wisconsin.
